What's Under the Hood of the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer?

The superior capability of the 2022 Wagoneer starts under the hood. The Wagoneer gives drivers 392 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque from a 5.7L V8 engine. That's enough power to haul up to 10,000lbs when equipped with a tow package. The V8 engine is mated to a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission for seamless shifts and optimal performance. The V8 engine links to a 48-volt mild-hybrid eTorque system to provide maximum fuel economy by adjusting transmission shift points, torque responsiveness, and utilizing brake regeneration.

What Makes the 2022 Wagoneer So Capable?

Beyond the powerful V8 engine, three of Jeep's most legendary 4x4 systems are available to the 2022 Wagoneer. All three systems provide full-time four-wheel-drive capability with a single or two-speed transfer case and a network of sensors to monitor wheel spin. Quadra-Trac I utilizes a single-speed transfer case to redistribute up to 100% of the Wagoneer's available torque to the wheels with the best grip on the road when the sensors detect slippage. Quadra-Trac II utilizes a two-speed transfer case with an Active 4-Low mode to provide better low-speed crawling control. Lastly, Quadra-Drive II adds on an Electronic Limited Slip Rear Differential. When a Wagoneer equipped with Quadra-Drive II leaves a stop, the system will instantaneously redistribute torque to the wheels with the most traction to limit or even prevent a loss of traction. Another capability feature is the available Quadra-Lift Air Suspension. These four-corner air springs provide drivers with 8 inches of ground clearance as a normal ride height. Depending on drive modes, Quadra-Lift can rise to 10 inches or lower to 6.4 inches, making it easy to navigate rugged terrain or maximize fuel economy and performance on the open road.

What Features Come Standard on the 2022 Wagoneer?

It's no secret that Jeep holds its 80-year history near and dear. And they're putting many features that capture their history of American craftsmanship on display. Although the 2022 Wagoneer is an extension of the Jeep brand, it will proudly wear the iconic seven-slot grille between narrow-point premium LED headlights. The Wagoneer's stance is high, wide, and forward-leaning to give it an aggressive frontal appearance. At the same time, a distinct A-line expands the length of the vehicle creating a distinguished silhouette from the side profile, giving the Wagoneer a classic yet modern aesthetic. This A-line nods at the original Wagoneer's exterior design. Large windows paired with the available tri-pane moonroof provide all occupants with an enhanced view of the world around them. Inside, drivers get another nod at the original Wagoneer with a two-spoke steering wheel while the steering-wheel audio and cruise control buttons add a modern twist. The 12-way power-adjustable front seats are Nappa leather-trimmed, heated, and ventilated. Behind the steering wheel, you'll find a fully customizable digital driver information display with nearly two-dozen display options. You'll find a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen on the center stack displaying Uconnect 5, Jeep's most advanced infotainment technology. The system is fully customizable to allow drivers easy access to their favorite apps. The system has five available user profiles to memorize different preferences for different drivers, including seat and mirror position, climate control, entertainment, and more. The system comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration and Amazon Alexa in-vehicle virtual assistant with "home to car" functionality.
