Could you tell me more about the Grand Cherokee L's 4x4 capability?

Three 4x4 systems start off the Grand Cherokee's off-roading capabilities. They are called the Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II systems. Delivering more torque to enhance traction to the wheel with the most grip, each of the three systems is equipped with an active transfer case. The Quadra-Trac I system comes with a single-speed active transfer case that adjusts the torque distribution with input from multiple sensors to correct tire slip. The Quadra-Trac II system is a two-speed transfer case that enhances performance and maneuverability with Active 4-Low torque control with a 2.72:1 gear ratio. The last system, the Quadra-Drive II, also offers a two-speed active transfer case with rear eLSD.

What is the Quadra-Lift system?

Available for the Grand Cherokee L lineup, the Quadra-Lift system is a class-exclusive air suspension that can be controlled manually by the driver or operate automatically. There are five settings offered with this air suspension. The Normal Ridge Height setting puts the Grand Cherokee L at the standard 8.3-inches of ground clearance while the Off-Road 1 setting lifts it an additional 1.6 inches. The Off-Road 2 settings ups the ground clearance to 10.9 inches while Park Mode lowers it 1.8 inches of the standard clearance. The final mode is Aero which lowers the SUV by another .8 inches.

Can you talk about the Selec-Terrain Traction Management System?

The Grand Cherokee L SUV also boasts Jeep's traction management system so that driver's can tailor the experience to meet all their needs and wants. The system boasts five modes, Mud/Sand, Snow, Rock, Sport, and Auto. These modes coordinate the SUV's suspension, steering, 4x4 torque split, handling and braking, and the six different powertrain options, this system can adjust to the different terrains that drivers encounter.
