2019 Ram ProMaster vs 2019 Ford Transit near Farmington Hills, MI

When it comes to figuring out the cargo van you need to take your business to the next level, there are a lot of options out there. That list of available vehicles can make decision-making difficult, especially since it's hard to figure out where to start. We are aiming to make the search easier than ever by looking at two of the top cargo vans available. These options include the 2019 Ram ProMaster and the 2019 Ford Transit. The Ram ProMaster is available in three new variants, a front-end styling update, and an increase in payload and towing capacities. The Transit, on the other hand, only has a minor change to feature available, and now offers new hinders on the long-wheelbase model. Both of these vehicles are off to a big start, but which one should you be buying? Continue reading down below where we'll go over more features and compare the two vans!

2019 Ram ProMaster Power & Handling

There is one standard engine that is responsible for powering the 2019 ProMaster. That engine is the always-reliable 3.6-liter V6. This is an engine that should look very familiar to people that know Ram trucks. As for power, the V6 engine can get up to 280 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The front wheels are in control, and the engine benefits by being connected to a six-speed automatic transmission. Towing and payload ratings vary, especially depending on the wheelbase and cargo roof configuration. No matter what, this is an engine that can truly do it all.

2019 Ford Transit Power & Handling

Three engines are available with the 2019 Transit. The first engine is a 3.7-liter V6, which can pump out 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. An optional engine is a turbocharged 3.2-liter diesel-powered inline-5, which creates 350 pound-feet of torque and 185 horsepower. The final available engine is a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6, which can generate 400 pound-feet of torque and 310 horsepower. One transmission can be found paired with all of these engines, a six-speed automatic. While it is great that the Transit is offered with so many options, none of them are as reliable as the 3.6-liter V6 that comes with the ProMaster.
