Jeep has redesigned the Compass for the 2022 model year, and it might be the best iteration of the famed vehicle yet. While the Compass has always been an ideal off-road vehicle with some terrific tech features, the 2022 version takes things a step further with some outstanding improvements to the interior and exterior, which provide the Compass with a more modern feel. The cabin is where the Compass shines as it comes with the latest version of the Uconnect system, which comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The four-cylinder engine provides power for the Compass that everyone knows and loves, which will get you from place to place with the greatest of ease! Sport
The Compass starts with the base Sport trim, and it, like all versions of the famed off-roader, comes with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that kicks out 177 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque which will provide you with plenty of capability no matter where you shutter off to. The Compass comes standard with front-wheel-drive, though all-wheel-drive is available for those who want a touch more traction. What sort of transmission you get depends on your drivetrain. If you get front-wheel-drive, the Compass has a six-speed automatic transmission, while all-wheel-drive versions have a nine-speed automatic. Both of which provide you with a smooth drive! Now let's get to the features! The Sport comes standard with some fantastic features such as an 8.4-inch touchscreen with a Uconnect 5 system and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This Uconnect 5 system offers you speeds that are five times faster than the previous version and can process three times as much data. Additional features for the Sport include LED headlights, a USB-A and USB-C port in the front, a USB-A port in the back, cloth seats, and 16-inch alloy wheels.

Latitude
Next, we have the incredible Latitude trim, which builds on what the Sport has with premium cloth/vinyl seats, a leather shift knob, ambient interior lighting, 17-inch alloy wheels, and automatic headlights. Plenty of options are available for the Latitude so that you can customize your Compass to your liking! These options include dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, wireless charging, and a dual-pane sunroof. There is also an Altitude package which gets drivers numerous features such as a gloss black roof. Want to know if you and your family will be safe? Well, the Latitude offers you tons of safety equipment such as forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian/cyclist detection, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a backup camera.

Those who want to go far into the wilderness will want to go with the Compass Trailhawk, as it comes with a ton of fun off-road features that you'll be sure to love! Standard on the Trailhawk are features like an extra inch of ground clearance and an active low 4x4 system with five available modes. There is even a new mode known as Rock mode! Additional off-road features include hill-descent control, a 30-degree approach angle, an advanced four-wheel-drive system, and off-road tires. There is even a rugged appearance package!

Limited
Rounding things out is the wonderful Limited trim, and it comes with some of the best features we have seen on an SUV! This trim comes with an appearance package with solid chrome accents and 18-inch diamond-cut wheels. Tons of luxury items are also available for the Limited as it has premium leather upholstery, standard dual-zone automatic climate control, a power driver's seat with lumbar control, and rain-sensing wipers. Later in the model year, the Compass Limited will have a Highway Assist System, which works with the lane-keeping assist system and adaptive cruise control.
